Local company Satir have applied for planning permission to Dundalk Town Council to build residential facilities at their headquarters in Finnabair Industrial Estate.
Applying under their registered name of Satir Europe (Ireland) Company Ltd, the group are hoping to extend the planning permission previously granted in 2009 which gave them the go ahead to building eight bedrooms and ancillary circulation areas, comprising 420 square metres, on the first floor of the facility next to their training and research and development centres.
The council will make a decision on the matter on August 26th.
SATIR are manufacturers of quality infrared cameras for thermal imaging, night vision and thermography.
They first came to Dundalk in May 2007 before announcing a €30m investment in the area, including a purpose-built facility, in 2011.
